This is the first time I’ve been in here in two years. I was looking for five treasure tea and Barley tea back then ,I ask three different people but nobody spoke English.this time two years later. I got Assistance from two different people who spoke English. Their customer service was off the charts, looking for other items, but I still could not find Barley tea or the five treasure tea. In this store. Great store I always pick up three things. I love the fruit and have you seen the meat case the next time I come I’m gonna have to grab some seafood. If you have not been to the store, you should plan a trip. I have had no negatives whatsoever. I will be back again.
Great food, shopping, and free parking?!? How can you not appreciate what 88 Marketplace has to offer?! If you love all things Asian you will especially love shopping, eating, and browsing the multiple levels. Shops selling everything from stationery, housewares, makeup, to unique Asian handmade gifts, collectibles, etc are pleasant to browse through. I noticed personal care/beauty services are offered here too such as a hair salon and Head Spa, even an eyelash shop (not sure if they provide services in addition to selling eyelash strips). There is bound to be something for everyone at reasonable prices no matter what corner you turn and decide to drink, eat, or buy. Overall, it reminds me of H-Mart, Mitsuwa, Joong Boo and Seafood City for its vast array of foods, produce, food court, and familiar shopping experience. Upstairs, once you get off the escalator, you will find a gigantic Asian grocery store with food court (lots of delicious choices i.e. bakery, sushi restaurant, dim sum, etc.) to the right. Busy but not overcrowded, even on a Saturday. Grab a table as soon as you see one, especially during peak hours. Such delicious food, I cannot wait to go back! If you are looking for a hard-to-find (Asian) ingredient/spice/product, you will more than likely find it here. Meat and fresh fish on ice sold towards the back with live tanks- seemed to be very popular with many shoppers..amazing to see how many types of seafood available. You will pass endless aisles stacked to the brim, super organized, and clearly labeled prices on the shelving, so no guessing what something is or costs. Great prices overall. Many shoppers (i.e. lots of families) mixed with helpful, bustling workers loading shelves, freezers, etc. made the experience a lot better than shopping at a Costco strangely enough. Major visual overload- but not overwhelming. I enjoyed finding unique and favorite snacks, treats, and items I rarely find anywhere else and left very happy.
Seriously smiling at the great variety of merchandise here, particularly mainland China/Hong Kong stuff (some Taiwan and Japanese stuff too). Prices were good and there were cases of some soft drinks available such as Wong Lo Kat and that one coconut drink with the model on it.
It is actively busy in and out. From their two parking lot to the grocery store. Also thankful that the parking lot is free. The groceries store has a lot of good variety from veggies, dried and frozen food. Giving a lot of props to the cashier and bagger, who are actively working as fast as they can to move the line.
